I know this may sound weird for those not into 3D, but perhaps can we get an adjustable curve cross-section graph editor for the spherical generator (to adjust the star density from edge to center) to help shape disk galaxies or clusters?
or how about my old idea of for square regions with a density grayscale bitmap (read off 2 coordinates or all 3) I could send Jpeg references to get my idea across better... perhaps if color spectum is included it could read that as star color?

It would be a very precise way of controlling the shape/star types being generated exactly where the GM wants them.

I would like to see some improvements made in how the generator treats spherical sectors. If I generate a square sector, I will always get roughly the same number of stars (give or take about 5-10%) at the same 'density' setting. With a spherical sector of a 25 ly radius, at the same density setting my first attempt to populate it got roughly 1000 stars. My second attempt got roughly 40000 stars, the third had 20,000 and the fourth 60,000. It would be more useful if the general generator was more consistent in spherical sectors. Though being able to set the specific number of stars for a given sector will also help with that. I've confined myself to mostly square sectors with spherical subsectors, because the spherical ones are so inconsistently generated, it's starting to get more difficult given that
