Jörðgarð Map of the Week #291 - Fogbridge Ruins

Description:The 291st Map of the Week shows the ruins of the Æsir village of Fogbridge on the Fogwater River.

As the map shows, not much is left of the village. he ruins tell no tales. Only a few lines of foundation stones and the base of what doubtless was a tower remain. The Fogwater flows deep and fast here, cutting a small gorge through the scrubby landscape. The river is about 30 feet/9 meters wide at normal times, probably spreading to about 40 feet/12 meters when there are spring floods. The current is too fast and the flow is too rough for boats or rafts. There are no signs of a mill pond and mill race, making it doubtful that milling ever was done there. The main surviving elements of the past are the old road from Bonehall to Hildur's Stead and Dragonwood as well as the bridge itself. The latter is a stone structure that has deteriorated badly but looks as though it still can be crossed safely. The only new structures are a wooden tower and three grass huts. The former is used by the draugs (undead). The two smaller grass huts are home to four orc warriors each.

You can get this map in two versions:
