Jörðgarð Map of Week #228 - Óðinn's Ford Bridge
|Description:||The 228th Map of the Week is from the second Jörðgarð (TM) Trails adventure on the Fallen Empire Trail, "Draug Hunters." The maps shows a surviving bridge on the River Hríð in the ruins of the Æsir Empire. Neither the ford on the River Hríð nor the Æsir town that was named after it still exists. Before the Great Wars, the Hríð flowed lazily and wide at this point. By most weather, riders could cross it easily. All of that changed as a result of the magical devastation that was unleashed in the wars' final battle. At this point, an earthquake shook the land, sinking the river bed and shaking the buildings of the village into piles of scattered brick, wood and tiles. As a result, the river now flows swifter through a narrower path, and the bridge is necessary to cross the river. In the module draug hunters, the PCs have an encounter with draugs (undead) and orc riders on the bridge.
