Re: [nbos] [as] Has anyone done a set of scripts to turn out Traveller Data?
"Shade Tree"

Well the Alpha version is up on NOX. This will only generate the UWP up to
Tech Level.

this will scan through all the planets and generate the UWP for any of them
that has at least a population of 1(lonely guy). It will place the UWP in
the GMNotes. overwriting anything that was there before. This is only
temporary as I plan to do the whole UWP and put it in a custom field.
However I am about to go travelling(hah) and wanted to get this out there
for comment

Changes
Hex is replaced with {X.Y.Z} of the root body. Makes more sense in a 3d
Enviroment
Starport type is influenced by the population of the planet. basically it
checks the pop and decides whether the planet is Backwater, Standard, or
Mature. I didn't include Cluster, and I just threw numbers out there for it
to go by. You can change these at the top of the script.

everything else is extracted from the data AS allready Gens or randomly
rolled per the rules in the book.

I'd appreciate some of you folks what do actually play Traveller letting me
know of any mistakes or ideas on how to tweak the UWP to give more realistic
results. I haven't played Traveller in years.
