That's exactly what I did when I created a map based on an existing BMP
from my DM, using the polygon tool to get rough shape and then adding
nodes to get the fine lines right. Specifically, I had to add around 10
nodes to get a river delta to kind of "open" up near the ocean (on a
1400 X 1800 mile map) without the river just stopping at the ocean at a
right angle so to speak.
