I suspect it's a little subjective but I have decided that Inhospitable
means anything where human life could not survive and is unsuitable for
terraforming - gas giants, planets a long way outside the biozone of a
star, etc.; Habitable means anything that is not, in its current state,
suitable for human life but could be terraformed - possibly Mars or
even, one day, Venus or perhaps a brown dwarf satellite; whilst
Hospitable means a planet which could support human life without being

I've never been able to find a definition. What is considered
"hospitable"? What is "habitable"?
