Howdy all. I have been on a 3 or 4 month 'vacation' from all things
hobbies, but now that I am back I am wondering if anyone has (dev's inluded)
found away to bulk export the .PlanetView.png files. I wrote a bulk
SurfaceMap exporter a few months back, but never found away to get the
PlanetViews.... anyone?

FM7 does not use the Inspiration Pad Pro engine, rather it runs goblinapi
scripts to generate names. (FM8 will use the ipad pro engine)

I was planning to buy FM7. However, if FM8 is due, I'll hold off. Can
you give any approximate timetable for the release (which I realise will
only be an indication)? It will help me decide on how to act.

Thanks,

Mike

Is there any way I can turn off the system naming facility when
generating a new sector? I want only stars to be generated with spectral
types but no contents and no names - only positional numbers.

Is this possible?

Cheers,

Mike

Yes, there is. I renamed "AstroSynthesis Standard Names.ipt" to
"AstroSynthesis Standard Names.-ipt", which is located in the LangData
directory. AS will not apply any names, only positions.
