Re: [nbos] First impressions of AS3 with a netbook.

I've no complaints about the NBOS operation - I rate them at the top of
the list of software providers I use. They must design for the OS that
gives them the best sales opportunities available. Pity that has to be
Microsoft.

Your idea about a Kickstarter project is a goodie - not sure how that
might be achieved and I guess it would need to have Ed's blessing to get
off the ground.

Mike,

Yes, I agree.

I just wish NBOS had the resources to support more than one OS, but when
you are a small shop, I understand the need to focus and provide a good
product.

Maybe they could start a Kickstarter project to make a universal app
(using HTML5 or Java; so it would run Windows, Linux and OSX)?

Thanks, Douglas - I suspected that would be the case. I run Linux
because I'm not prepared to buy XP again (I run it on my desktop). In my
view, it's a better OS but doesn't yet have the support from software
designers, who understandably go for the dominant system to maximise
their sales.

I'm running it on WinXP Home with SP3 slipstreamed into it.
