Thank you Ed. I emailed my report to you just before I read this.
I have since discovered that this happens even with new maps set at
the most basic resolution. In other words, I open 8.10f, draw a circle
and then try to Raster Fill -- I get a vertical bar (filled with
correct color and outline color) of apparently random height. No fancy
anything, lowest res settings.
I suspect the difference is with my machine specs, which is XP Pro
running under VMWare Fusion on a Mac with a 9600M GT video card. I
sent you complete specs and version information, included Direct X
version supported on my machine in hopes that will help. There must be
some difference in the way that function works between 8.03d and 8.10f
and hopefully the extra info will help. Since this occurs on my system
with any map not just a particular one, I did not enclose a map with
my email to the support email address.
