Re: [nbos] [AS] Scripting: What would you like to see?

I suspect the script thing is putting me off because it sounds like
having to learn a new programming language. I can programme in VB6 and,
at a pinch, in Turbo Pascal but I'm too busy these days to learn yet
another lingo. However, if scripting is relatively similar to either of
these, I could be tempted to try it. Especially if you say you enjoy it
:-)

Cheers,

Mike

Yes, yes, yes please - it sounds excellent - and you actually enjoy
doing these things?

I've looked into this before and it doesn't seem possible

How about a script that exports the surface maps and creates an x3d file
of a lighted 3d rotating globe using that texture. You could embed them
in a webpage pretty easy.

I've allready got the export testure half done....just recently... ;)

I would like a script that can export / create (en masse) the
.planetview.png files :)

I would like a script that goes through all the systems in the as2 file
and exports all the pictures to a pre-defined resolution (ie 4096x2048
or something else) and a predifined output name mask (ie
system1.planet1.moon1 etc).
I can then use my gimp scripts to open each file in turn, and produce
various scales and icons. From that, my html templates can put the
whole thing into a preset format.

:)
