Re: [nbos] [AS] Scripting: What would you like to see?"Dalton Calford" Thu Nov 29th, 2007
If your script can ask for a delimeter, then we can make something more
universal than just for my specific task.
I thought that there was a setting for the surface maps - been awhile
since I looked since I have been very busy on a fantasy setting.
If you think that a home printer uses 300 dpi, the default graphic is
smaller than a 2 inch square, when you may want to have a full page map,
with legend and perhaps overland movement grid/themed display graphic.
You would end up with the need for a graphic in the 4-5 inch to a side
range (1200 pixels or more to a side).
If the program can generate a single large size, I can use scripts in
GIMP to then create various smaller sized images, add layers, create
rotating gifs etc. I can even take the various images, made into
rotating speres and make a system map.....
It is easy to manipulate to get smaller/lower resolution images but it
is very hard to make a image look good when it is blown up 4-5 hundred
I think many would love this feature, not just myself.
