I have used plenty of CC3 symbols in FM8 maps. What you have to do is
copy the CC3 .png files (you only need the very high res. versions) into
the following folder: C:\Program Files\nbos\Mapper8\MapArt\Battlemap.
This will make them available just as if they were an existing FM8
symbol.

If I've made a mistake, somebody please correct me but this worked for
me. If you want them available in the Standard Fantasy Symbols folder, I
think you'll have to place them on a map and save them there as an .fmp
file. Again someone else may correct me on this.

Cheers,

Mike

Subject: [nbos] Looking for more mapping symbols...

Other than the extra symbol pack that Nbos has put out, are there any
other sources for new overland map symbols? I've heard that you can use
some of the symbols from CC3, but I'm not completely sure how to go
about doing that.

On a related note, when I try to add a bitmap symbol to a map it seems
like it refuses to go onto the selected layer. It always defaults to
the General layer. Is that normal? None of the other symbols seem to
have that issue, just the bitmap ones.

Travis
